WARNING this line are plagued with Lenovo Yoga 730 Flickering.

You can google and there will be tons of reports.

There seems to be a relatively easy fix where you have to open up and tug the screen cable every now and then. Some say cleaning the contacts and reconnecting the screen cable to the motherboard.

https://www.youtube.com/results?s...30+flicker

IMO this is one of the most versatile and cheap laptops at around 600-700 that can game a bit and has pen support.

You can also chuck this under or behind the TV with ease as it has native HDMI which seems to be now rare on actual Yogas (not flex) and you don't have to open the screen to power it on since the power is at the side (genius).

Alternative is the 600-700 Bestbuy openbox Inspiron 7590 but this is likely better due to the GTX 1050 4GB vs MX250 2GB. You have to deal with the flicker issue though.

Their open box prices are great. If I didn't have the 720 version of this I'd probably buy it

How great of a deal is this? there's no open box excellent in 250 miles of my area. Only Open-Box Satisfactory $584.99 and Open-Box Excellent - Certified for $701.99. Wish I had a 10% coupon

nice price. picked one up, going to see how it compares against the EVOO i7-9750H [walmart.com] that came up on BF for $799.

Trying to score a good deal for a new laptop for my brother - we'll see which one he likes more. Advantage on the EVOO is the 45W TDP processor & better GFX. Advantage Lenovo is build quality and portability. Let's see...

Nice! Could you elaborate on that? Do they give 20% off any open box prices they have if the store does it or do you have to ask to get it or??
Thanks in advance!

Very dim screen. You would need to crank it up 80+ percent for usability.

From my personal experience I've seen an additional 20% sign with a bunch of open box items around it usually tv's & laptops. Last year I jumped on the lenovo yoga open box SD and a few people on that thread were able to get an additional 20%. Depends on the store tbh. No harm to ask if they do extra discount on open boxes and not mention what you are buying
