EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

Anyone know if this will work on a Blue Sky AMEX card?
This thread is only 13 pages, just read it next time ... But to answer, no.

assuming the better is saying they would charge $1775 (vs you getting a credit in that amount) - YES - you can pricematch and get another $1000. So you'd get a net credit of $800 ($1000-$200).
I had to go through those lenders on Zillow to get a loan estimate to send to better.com, but yeah, they matched the rate, the points, the credit, and then shaved another $1000 off the top there. This is an insane deal...

First off, "Blue Sky" does not exist when you search the thread and secondly, I spoke to AMEX directly who confirmed that the Blue Sky card should work.

Try to actually be right next time you answer someone, and maybe don't be a jerk about it.

Looks like you answered yourself. Even though it was mentioned earlier that branded cards arent eligible.

Eligible Cards include personal consumer American Express Cards issued by a U.S. banking subsidiary of American Express that are not canceled.

Note: Prepaid Cards and products, American Express Corporate Cards, American Express Small Business Cards and American Express-branded Cards or account numbers issued by other financial institutions are not eligible. Additional Card Members on your Account are not eligible for this offer.

Blue Sky is from AMEX right? It doesn't seem to be a branded card.

edit: called to double check, they said it was eligible and put a note in my account just in case something happens. I'll do a Chat again to get it in writing, and then go ahead w/ the refi.

edit 2: double checked via Chat. Blue Sky is eligible.

Just Locked in my rate. I used a Zillow lenders quote (no real verification was required) and got better.com to beat it by $1000 (as their PM policy says they will). even though I had a decent rate before I should end up getting $5k in my pocket and get a slightly lower interest rate.

Thanks!
Which zillow lender did you go through for a quote?

Yeah I couldn't find anything on Zillow's site for an easy quote without verification.

Not OP, but I went through First Internet Bank of Indiana and Farmers Bank of Kansas City, just to get an initial loan estimate. They do a soft credit pull for this.

I just picked the lowest 0 point rate with the lowest fees on zillow.

Not OP, but talking with my better.com concierge, they have some leeway to adjust rates and closing costs if it's close to what they're already offering, but if you find something significantly cheaper or with a much lower rate, you have to get a loan estimate from the competitor. I had to get a full loan estimate because the lowest better.com had for me was 3.625% with 0 points, and I got 3.375% with 0 points through Farmers Bank and First Internet Bank. Better.com looked at both and then compared closing costs, took the lower one, and then beat that by $1000.

I think I'm a little late, but can't find it through looking through the thread.

Has anyone been able to apply for this without seeing this expressly targeted through AMEX? I can't seem to find it on any of my AMEX offers or anywhere on AMEX's site.

I just clicked through the link in the main post above, and when my better.com concierge contacted me the first time, he referenced the Amex offer.

I was able to get Better.com to price match the lowest zillow rate and beat it by $1000 with no issues. I did have to provide an official Loan Estimate from the competitor for them to do this.

Was able to get locked in for 3.375% 30-yr fixed w/no points (have excellent credit).

Very pleased so far, they replied to my price match request within an hour, and less than 24 hours after submitting all paperwork / information I'm conditionally approved for underwriting and expected to set a closing date sometime next week. Website has a good interface for uploading all the docs and required information which is a breath of fresh air compared to other lenders I've had to work with in the past.

Do you need to hit lock rate before getting them price matched?

Where do you contact them to get the price match? Schedule a call with them?
