EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

Direct from better, lowest I could get with no points was 3.625%. I went to Zillow and found the lowest rate at 0 points (3.375%) and got a loan estimate, sent that to better, and they matched it.
How did you prove it - send them a screenshot?

No, I sent them the official loan estimate from the other lender, which means you have to go through the first level of the application and the soft credit pull to get it.

Not op, but I got 3.375% with 0 points on a 30 year mortgage through First Internet Bank of Indiana, and from Farmers Bank of Kansas City.
Did rates go up? I am only seeing 3.49% for lowest lender today. Do you still see 3.375%?

I got 3.375% through Morty, then had better match. They offer an additional 1000$ closing credit if you bring in a better offer. So in total got a better rate and 4k on credit (1000 better match + 2500 statement credit + 500 appraisal waived)

Hah, nice. Yeah, when I found my rate I just kept checking every few minutes and when I finally saw one for 3.375% and almost no fees, I jumped on it.

How does one know if they are eligible for the 2500 dollar offer? I clicked on the link and it never explicitly said I was eligible. I don't have a business card, just their Blue Cash Preferred.

The credit actually comes from Better, not Amex. They issue the credit to your amex account. You just have to click through the link. This is what I was told by Amex and confirmed by Better.

I just called better who reached out to their Amex team and apparently they don't service certain states like mine, Colorado. Shame this would have been a great deal.

I tried filling out the application with Sebonic but they said it requires a hard credit pull. Also, everything I seem to give Better they give me the run-around with matching. Oh well, I'm happy with $1,200 closing cost for $2,500 credit and $100 less per month.

The lowest Sebonic could offer me was 3.625 which is still better than my 3.875 but without the Amex promotion, its kind of moot.

My loan is pretty large, (500K) I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.
