Notary and closing
Here is what you can expect or ask for from my experience:
1. New pen for signing wiped thoroughly
2. Pen stays with you after signing
3. Only material they will touch would be your ID
4. ID would be wiped and returned back
5. Can expect gloves to be worn
6. Signing can happen in your front yard or in your garage
7. If you have a Costco table then you can sit on either sides to maintain distancing
8. Masks might be recommended given new guidelines
9. Plus discuss with the notary!!

It sounds sketchy as hell and I don't trust it at all. I asked why would I be required to sign official documents with incorrect numbers? Why can't the documents be changed to show the correct numbers that I can then sign? She says this is how 90% of loans are done.
Why lower your rates when you already have enough work to do. A seller doesn't lower their price when they have a popular item.

My loan is transferred to Mr Cooper (Nationstar) Mortgage within 2 weeks of closing from Better.com, even the first payment is with Mr Cooper.
I received a "task" halfway through the process that said appraisal was not needed and it'll be refunded in a "few business days" but it's been almost a week now.
Just curious if anybody has been in the same boat? I am still in the closing process FYI. Scheduled to close this Sat.

I wasn't charged for the appraisal. The terms say the fee will be waived. Strange that they are charging some people and not others. Might be a state-specific thing.
