EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

Another reminder that hasn't talked about on here for awhile is to shop for a local title company. I saved 200-300 bucks using a local one (as opposed to using Betters title) and also with these difficult times in small business you can at least part of your refi local.

Better.com just matched my offer from another company and beat it by $500. We will now get back $500. That doesn't include the Amex 2500. So in total 3.125 for about $400 in points - lender credits on all closing costs = getting back $500 and wait for the $2500 amex credit. I'm happy with that. Will recoup closing costs in 15 months. I'm in my forever home.

Market bumped up again today but this still feels like a short term pop some some folks can make a little money and not indicative where we will be in a couple weeks with probably 200,000 cases in the US or more.

That sound awesome deal. Is that 15 or 30 years. So you are basically getting 3.125 at no closing cost. My concierge at better.com said he can't beat the rate I got from another lender. 15 years at 3% and $900 closing. who did you get loan estimate from to match with better.com

Dang, that's awesome! Congrats! I'm about to lock 3.25 with $1000 lender costs (section D) and a $1400 credit, so essentially $400 back. I'll of course have to bring taxes, fees, prepaids, escrow, etc., but I'm assuming that's similar to your situation.

I got quotes from 4 lenders, and the best was SoFi last night. They offered to lock me with no obligation or hard feelings, so I used that today to get a slightly better quote from a local lender (beat their closing costs by $400), and then by Better tonight. Throw in the $2500 AMEX credit and I'm pretty happy.

Like I said a few posts above, maybe rates will tank in the next month or two, but 3.25 is already historically low, so I won't be kicking myself too hard unless something crazy happens.

Funded 2/24. Got amex credit 3/14. Price matched LE at 3.25 for 30yrs fixed. In the end, $2500 amex credit and 2K lender credit. All in all, it was a good refi. Although at point i saw 3.15 with 1.5K, but already signed CD. Not to get greedy, overall super happy with my rate and all credits. Waiting for sub 3 and go for another round if possible. Good luck to all. Don't give up and get as much as LE as possible. That is the key to get the lowest rat

I didn't receive email from Amex about the offer. Does it mean i am not eligible ? Did you get email from AMEX about the offer.

Yes you are eligible. I don't think anyone that has received their $2500 got an email or had an Amex offer on their acct.

I didn't have to log into AMEX from the promo page that's linked in the OP, so I wonder how they know you should be getting the $2500. Just having any charge from Better.com onto the AMEX?

You click the link in this thread. Once you are towards the end of the process you type in the last few digits into a form that is one of your last tasks with Better.

My experience so far with Better.com:

1) Secured a rate lock with Better.com at 3.375% on a 30 years fixed conventional mortgage about a week ago with all closings costs rolled in and no points.
2) Secured a rate lock through sofi.com at 3.0% on a 30 year fixed conventional mortgage a few days later
3) Tried to get Better.com to match but they couldn't because I already rate locked. The only way they woul drop my rate is if their source of truth for market rates dropped by more than .25%, in which case they would float me down 1/8th of a percent.
4) Took my sofi.com loan estimate to Rocket Mortgage since they too offer the $2,500 statement credit and they issued enough lender credits to nearly match the Sofi deal but the final rate came in at 3.125%!

Ultimately, I am going to move forward with Rocket Mortgage. I'll get the $2500 statement credit and a lower rate than what Better.com was offering.

When I did my deal with Better funded 2-24 their policy was match rate and beat costs by 1k (or they'd give you 1k if you closed with someone else) Here's an example of waiting isn't always the best.
