EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

04/29 is my scheduled closing date. When does my 1st payment start?
Most likely May 31st or June 1st but you should ask your loan officer.

I just got my statement credit over the weekend. Just for others who don't have an AMEX card or didn't get the offer, I got an AMEX card just for this deal after this thread was started. I didn't have the deal offered, but followed the link in the wiki and it worked for me. I'm more than happy to answer any questions.

Ok good to know. I would like to apply been a card member for 20 years but don't have the offer listed. I called Amex to see if they could see it in my account but they had no idea what offer i was referring to and suggested I contact Better. If you had luck by applying though the link I will do the same. What rate did you get? Did you shop around for a lower rate to get the extra $1k match? What were your closing costs like?

Just talk to concierge when you apply to better. They're the one that puts the offer on your better application.

I see so call them first and then apply online? Is concierge available from the 415 number posted on the site? Or did you apply first and then contact concierge?

Did they match an offer you got? Jumbo or regular size loan?
For me better.com matched a regular size loan I got - rates, fees and all. We were a couple thousand dollars apart and I was hoping for their $1k guarantee but they held up their end of the bargain!

i don't have an amex. Which card did you apply for? Does it matter which one I get? Do I have to have the card in possession before I apply on the better.com link?

Better offered me 30 years at 3.125 with no points and a lender credit of $3600 so it ends up being a no cost refinance. Plus I get the $2500 statement credit in the end so I'm happy. This is an amazing deal.
If you are already at no cost without the credit, I would lower to 3.0% with no points as it should, hopefully, also be no cost if you count the $2500 statement credit.

Better matched the rate, but they are charging me for points in the new loan estimate they sent. I sent them my loan estimate which had zero points and zero closing costs, not sure if someone will call to fix that or should I reach back out.
