I work with Better,com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.

A little out of context but the company(forgot the name) that Better.com uses for automated pulling of bank account statements, seems to store bank login credentials and attempts to login later as well - not sure for what purpose. I had couple of bank account logins locked out since I changed my password immediately after the first pull. It would be advisable to not use that service and if you do like me, change the password immediately.

Quoting myself as the Loan Officer finally called and said he can get me back to the -$350 and have him lock the rate.


He basically said that's the best he can and actually said that I can try again in a later stage as they will have more leeway to match again but has to have a newer dated Loan Estimate.

Yea i am, he is sending over the loan estimate tomorrow as they needed to lock the rate before giving me the official loan estimate.

Just emails. They were kind of pushy so I'm surprised people are having a hard time getting a hold of someone.

Respond to that first email by asking them to withdraw your application if you don't hear back soon. They emailed right away with the LE.

quick help from those closed, my closing is tomorrow, the wiring document i received has some info in OBI info as below.

OBI Line2: "RESWARE_SP_GetBuyerSellerName1Last_Buyer"
OBI Line3: "RESWARE_SP_GetFileNumber_1"
is this same for you guys too?
it looks to me like some code failed to generate correct info, also I am using chase website to wire out money, i dont see OBI Info field, so where do you put this info?

Note : I asked this q to my Closing expert few hours ago, havent heard back, but I am sure I will get response faster :-)

LoanCabin shows rates for NC but when I do actual application, it does not have NC in state selection. Anyone with similar issue and way to get around it?

Depends on your state. In Texas you have to bring cash to close so no refund for me. I'm going with Better though to get the $2,500 Amex Credit. Same rate and credit.

ahh ok im in CA, if better can match the 2.75% id probably go with them, but the rates i see are 2.75% with 4200 in pts now haha.
