Notary and closing
Here is what you can expect or ask for from my experience:
1. New pen for signing wiped thoroughly
2. Pen stays with you after signing
3. Only material they will touch would be your ID
4. ID would be wiped and returned back
5. Can expect gloves to be worn
6. Signing can happen in your front yard or in your garage
7. If you have a Costco table then you can sit on either sides to maintain distancing
8. Masks might be recommended given new guidelines
9. Plus discuss with the notary!!

If Better matched you at 2.625% rate, do they allow you to lock a different rate option available on their rate table (2.75%) based on the match?
Say for refinance with no escrow, total closing(including prepaid like interests) is $1,900, but your lender credit is $2,000. Do you lose out on $100?

If better won't match (and I know they don't have to) can I walk away at this point and go with LoanCabin?
you can try getting better to match it, that way you don't have to start over with loancabin
Or do you mean like escrow for title and stuff?
Closing at Home: Yes, a notary came to our house and spent about 45 minutes having us sign a million forms. They got mailed to Better and we expect the real closing to happen by weeks end. Guy is contracted out by Better and is not a lawyer or loan person. Just there to get all the signatures.
AMEX - It was a task on the BETTER.COM website for us at least a week before the closing.
If they are about to set a closing date, then email or call to get that set up for you.
There is an option in the taskbar for a notary to come to my house.
Is this only available if I was using betters closer because mine mentioned they charge $250 to come out to the house.
Is this something that Amex covers?
