EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

Finally closed this past Friday. $1600 cash to close before $2500 Amex for a $122k loan. I wasn't able to match some of the deals people were posting So my 20 year Refi is 3%, could be due to the small amount of balance left on my mortgage although I do have 800+ credit. It was really difficult getting a LE from many lenders. Best Better could do was 0 out all origination fees and matched the 3% offer I got so my closing was just title and prepaids no escrow. But I'm still getting paid to refinance so can't complain!

Did any one have issue on better.com while locking the rate.I have 2.25 on my screen and once I have confirmed and hit submit. I got an automated email saying that I have locked for 3%. Now, portal show I have locked for 3%.

I tried calling them but they are unable to reach my team member for an answer.

Why am I not getting any loan offers? My mortgage balance is $63k with 22 years left @ 4.375% and home value is $167k. I'm looking to refinance to 10 or 15 years.

Just closed on Saturday. 15 Year @ 2.25%; A+B+C = Zero after lender credit, and $2,500 AMEX credit coming soon. Probably my slickest of all slick deals and I've been on this site since 2004. For reference in Texas, $300k Loan.
That's a fantastic big D

Better got back to me, there offer is complete trash compared to WM, not sure what is going on. There offer is A+B+C = $4582 with 0 in lender credits.

Has any one had this experience? i thought they would def offer some thing better.
Luck of the draw. I'm in a similar boat as you. We are the few who couldn't get it and it's not my credit score, loan amount or LTV.

Alright Guys,

I have a lender that was servicing my loan in 2014 who I had reached out last week to see what they could do as their letter stated that they'd beat any offers out there.

Not having high hopes and even if they beat it I'd figured it was only by a hundred at best but lo and behold they have taken my Better Estimate of -$2150 for 2.75% and are kicking back a really large credit at the same rate and kicking back almost -$6600. The credit is large enough for me to consider this a "True No Closing Cost" loan and not bring any money to close.

Verbally this was unheard of yesterday and I do have a Loan Estimate reflecting that credit and am awaiting the Lender to "Lock" the rate/credit so I can fully share/post the Lender details and here. I highly doubt that others will be able to replicate this deal My 227K loan with 47% LTV and a good Debt to Income and Credit score combined with probably some sort of an exemption by the lender?

I've sent it to Better but don't think they'll come close and think they'll flat out reject the match. I'll post the Lender Info and the Direct Contact to the LO who helped me and she is willing to do similar PriceMatch deals and stated to mention "Shahhere" so she can keep track of the source of this information. I AM NOT GETTING ANY KICKBACKS FYI so proceed at your own will at this point if you do or don't believe me . I am waiting on a locked LE which was stated to be a few days from Yesterday evening.

Arguably the best from this thread. This will go down in SD history if you get it.

What's so insane about this is that his total loan is only 227k. To get close to 3% of loan value in credits is unheard of at his rate.

do you have loan officer at WM contact info?, they never pick up my phone. thanks

Finally got a loan estimate from WM, they are giving me 2.625% with $1075 in lender credits. There is still a $1500 origination fee.

He promised me $2k in lender credits on the phone, but came back said they couldn't do that.

I can take this to better.com, but how do those numbers sound. This is for 30 year fixed.

AMEX OFFER EXPIRES 7/25, please apply before then!

Sharing my experience with a Better pricematch:
TX property, 70% LTV, 780+ FICO, ~$300k refi on 30 year fixed:

LoanCabin - 2.625% with $600 lender credit (don't know what A+B+C is, have not received LE)
WM - 2.75% with $4k (A+B+C) costs and $3k lender credit with LE
Better - Matched WM with 2.75% with $2.6k (A+B+C) costs and $2300 credits

Experiences
I wish LoanCabin moved faster (application with hard credit pull on 7/13) but other than email quotes, have not been able to get anyone on the phone.
WM has been SPECTACULAR to work with, super fast & responsive. Needed to have hard credit pull to get WM but was great to work with.
Better had a pretty horrific first offer ($7k A+B+C with $0 credits at 2.75%) and really trimmed it down.

I'm new to this thread and whole mortgage refinance jargon as well as entire mortgage refinance world.

What's lender is WM?
What does A+B+C stand for?

Let us know how it goes

1. To be honest I don't mind posting in public as I wouldn't want that information suppressed or hidden or for someone else to have an agenda to get referrals etc and would defeat the whole purpose of this information sharing.

2. A lot of you are PMing and I don't mind sharing the information but as I said before the offer is tooo good and unless I have a locked Doc set or LE it might setup a bad precedence for everyone as I said I doubt that people would even be able to replicate (I have 1 person who hasn't been but LTV and Credit were lower ).

3. I've been upfront and honest with the LO so using "Shahhere" as the reference (not referral) will give her the benefit of the application to get price matching as she said she is comfortable with it. Lastly if this doesn't work or NO one else is able to replicate then I'll adjust things as well.
