One of the main benefits of the Evo is no geofence or other flight restrictions that DJI forces even when they are wrong. No forced firmware updates when you are just trying to get out and fly.
The controller has a built in video screen so you don't have to have a tablet or phone to fly if you need to jump in the air for a quick shot, but it is better to use one for more controls and easier to see.
Video 4k 60fps.
I've had one for a year, its been a lot of fun. Autel is really good at standing behind it's products and quick customer service.

Also, there are ZERO flight restrictions with the Evo. Unlike DJI which are heavily restricted by gps location. It's annoying. The only thing I dislike about any of my DJI equipment.

Why $599? Even dji is selling it for $500?

MP2 has more than 2x range, Occusync 2 is a fewer orders of magnitude superior to everything out right now. (but the range the EVO provides is more than enough)

I'd rather take the Mavic Mini flight combo for 599.99.

That's not entirely accurate. Thee evo has a range of just over four miles. The mavic 2 is five miles. The mavic won't do five miles only because of the battery. But it will do over four miles, the Evo will do four miles. So it's almost the same range.

I just use a mavic pro that i don't update so I don't have gps geofence issues. dji is the best I would only buy something else if it provides something different/ special than dji like waterproof acro ect

My brother has a Mavic pro and I have the evo. The video on the evo is much better. The Mavic 2 pro has some weirdness with the video with regards to quality and if it's really 4k all the way through the capture process. I've been very happy with the evo. I've had mine out 2.7 miles which seems really far to me. Not sure what I'd do at 4 miles. Wouldn't be much time for videos left on the battery.
