While I'm interested in this game, I don't know why it took so long for the developers to drop the price. I have too big of a backlog now, so this game will have to wait for the next price drop.

Thanks. Rebought this and Dragon Quest XI so I can get my GCU saving and return both at the black friday's price, which will give me $8 back. Will have to make a trip to Best Buy to return them though.

Physical sales will always be cheaper than digital sales no matter what that just how it is so deal with it
I think this is false. While physical games are "typically" cheaper then digital sales I do not think this will "ALWAYS" be the case. As we transition to a more digital society at some point it will cost more to make, ship, and purchase physical discs then a digital copy.
Look at vintage physical games with cheaper digital counter parts..i.e. FF7.
It already costs more to do physical rather than digital. The only cost for any digital download is bandwidth, there is no other incremental cost. And digital can be/is cheaper than physical, look at any steam, gog, or humble bundle sale.

Good games tend to drop slower. Sekiro is gonna take forever to hit 20 while control, which was good but had a bumpy release, will hit 20 quicker.
Oh and don't get me started with gta 5 that held on to 25 for seemingly ever.
I was really excited to see
Nier, Automata Game of The Yorha Edition down to $19.99. But, I'm going to have to pass based on the fact that you're buying the original version of the game repackaged with DLC codes (that expire!) bundled inside the case.
I would've jumped all over this if game+DLC were all on the disc.
