This is a really good deal. The potette is useful even for regular potty users who often visit parks/playgrounds/beaches etc where there's no facilities. And the bags - they're expensive. And you can kind of make your own but it's much easier to use the brand ones.
We have one from kids 1 and 2 but I might spring for a fresh one (and bags!) For kid 3. She never gets any fresh stuff!
Bought one of these on sale for a potty training toddler for vacation. Folds to a decently small size and turns any toilet into a kid toilet. Easy cleanup, was a good buy. I honestly have no clue what the bags are for. Just put the seat on a public toilet at/near the park/beach and they'll never actually touch the gross public toilet. All the waste will flush away, and you're training them to pee in toilets, so you don't have to untrain them later.
I kind of get the potty seat because adult seats are too big for the little ones.. are you bringing these in your car and then when they say they have to go, you go out into the car to retrieve it or are you having to tote it around in what was a diaper bag?
For the potty timer- how useful is this?

I have no idea myself, but I asked a friend and they told me this
You can use it in the back of car, side of the road, in the park ,on a space ship etc. The liners that come with it are very useful, if you don't want to deal with pee all over you or your car. You can also use grocery bags but you risk a leak.
The potty timer is very simple. It has a timer that goes off in increments of 20,30,60 and 90 minutes the idea is you sit your kid down in intervals so when they do have to go they are sitting on the toilet. (not best quality sound but everyone in the house knows its Potty time when it goes off)
We have one and love it. It stays in the vehicle. Sometimes we will use this for convenience rather than taking children into rest stops. Obviously, really little children.
We do not use the liners. We simply use two plastic bags from the grocery store. The lower plastic bag has about five or 10 paper towels in it and is a back up. The upper plastic bag is the primary use one and we put a cloth diaper in that. When it is done being used the upper plastic bag with the now used cloth diaper can be tied up and dealt with later (The majority of the time we are simply dealing with some moisture). We have extra plastic bags and cloth diapers in the vehicle on standby.
I was hesitant at first until I read the comments about using grocery bags as liners instead of the branded liners. Good deal for $16 to keep in the car for emergencies. Thank you!
I have searched high and low for something cheap. Aliexpress have some but they are not great and I dont have/want an infinite supply of plastic shopping bags to double bag
Cool beans. I have twin toddler boys that will be needing this soon. I can tell you from experience that having a potty seat in the car is invaluable, but they tend to get nasty and are relatively bulky. Having one that not only can use liners but also collapses AND can double as a potty seat for standard toilets has me sold.
The liners are extremely useful for using the toilet in the car during long drives. I don't put this over public toilets because they're filthy and you'd just be getting the potette dirty and needing a wash. And my child is scared of public toilets so I just put this on the ground opposite side of toilet on a dry cleaner surface.
