    This is always $200. At $180 this is the lowest it has ever been according to Keepa.

    This is a 900 degree propane powered searing side tray for a camp chef pellet grill. Nice accessory for searing steaks etc.

    Not a bad price at all but I personally found the sidekick to be a bit more versatile on my CC for my needs. Added the Pizza oven and its been great accessory along with the griddle on the sidekick.

    Word of caution. I'm part of a Camp Chef group on Facebook and many have had issues with this box rusting and not working correctly. Among the group, the Sidekick is a better buy and value with many accessory options available. These can be bought on sale at Dick's for $150

    Good to know, how do you get it for $150 at dicks? I know they sometimes run 25% off, but they price the sidekick closer to 250.

    I have had one of these for a year. I had issues with the grill gates rusting, but the box is still holding and heating just fine. I replaced with aftermarket grill grates and has been pretty solid

    I believe you're thinking of the sear box accessory that fits on top of the sidekick.

    This the full sear box. It is stainless steel and does not have the rusting problem. It's actually rated more highly than the sidekick.

    The griddle can sear meat quite fine as I also do it in my cast iron pan too for reverse sear and normal. You get a complete sear on the outside of the meat verse sear marks from the grates that create the lines. I actually had the sear box first and swapped it for the more versatile sidekick as a few others I know are doing lately on a few forums. The great thing about the sidekick is your not stuck with a searing grill only and have the option of multiple tops to use on it. But as I said above I " personally " found it a better option for me although this is a good price for the sear box.
