Bought this a few months ago and love it. The sound is good...probably somewhere between a Play:1 and a Play:3, but the versatility is amazing.
We took this to the beach in October and it gets loud! Puts out a lot of volume and bass at all levels. It comes with a pretty nice cloth bag to carry it in, and I had no issues with sand (did keep it in the bag though).
For Halloween we had a neighborhood block party (we live in a cul-de-sac) and I had it in the middle of the circle, blasting halloween tunes from my Wifi. Everyone loved it. Earlier in the week I took it to a trunk-or-treat and it provided music for the whole scene.
Putting up Christmas lights and decorations as family, I bring this outside, and we instantly have that holiday ambience as we work in the cold.
I use it outside all the time, but it often sits in a spare room. It's the 8th piece of my Sonos equipment and usually is living life like a Play:1, just filling its room. But when I need to do work in the garage, or outdoors like I've said, it's great. But when I need the versatility and want it outside and loud, it's amazing!
I felt it was too expensive but wanted it for our beach trip and was willing to pay a premium. Now having done that, I actually think it was priced appropriately for the value its provided me.
Wifi-to-bluetooth switching works really well, by the way.
People who buy Sonos understand the price point. We don't need you comparing it to Anker bluetooth speakers.

Is the battery on this easily replaceable? too many issue's in the past with non-replaceable battery's have turned me off these kind of speakers for a bit.

Yes, the battery is replaceable!
Sonos FAQ:
What's the lifespan of Move's lithium-ion battery?
The battery should last about three years or 900 charges, after which you can purchase a replacement battery.
In for 1. This is a great alternative to a HomePod if you're already invested in Sonos. Having one app to control all of your music and speakers is a very underrated feature of Sonos.
