This is a new full size arcade system from AtGames. I don't know much about AtGames and apparently they have a mixed reputation in this area but this particular product is getting rave reviews for build quality, value, and flexibility (ability to load games thru a USB thumb drive). I scored one from Sam's Club this past weekend and they are offering it for sale this coming Saturday at $450. The only other place to buy is from Walmart at $599. The Sam's Club special edition comes with a Blast dongle that includes Galaga + PacMan.

I have got to say I absolutely love the system so far. There will be plenty of critics I am sure but for someone is not handy enough to custom build a MAME cabinet, this one is great for the price.

For Sam's club: they currently show this as online only according to the website. But they are available in store as well - I picked one up in Woodbridge, VA and apparently they sell them as fast as they put them on the floor. If I have time, I plan to see if they will give me a price adjustment on Saturday to the sale price. But, at $499 (the price I paid), I am not complaining.

The real value is to load your own games. I am totally new to that process but there are several helpful Youtube videos on this front and I am happy to share those if interest.

This is the link to Sam's one day sale this coming Saturday.

Thanks, OP! This looks like a lot of fun. I've wanted to build my own arcade cabinet for a long while - Considering it's still just a thought...

This has native support for raspberry pi now too right? I remember reading that the controllers can connect to a pi via Bluetooth so you don't have to connect them physically to the pi and that you can connect if directly via hdmi. Anyone have experience nodding it this way? Very interested in the cabinet!

It is supposed to have that support but that is a new area to me and I have not tried yet. Will be interested to see what others say.

I have heard stores may be holding some back specifically for Saturday. Also, the website banner indicated they will be available online on Saturday. Wonder if it will be the case that you have to make a play at midnight?
Also, I think the stock number for stores may be different than the online stock #. If you call a store, they may not be able to tell you accurately their inventory depending on how look it up in their system. When I went in the other day, I stopped first at customer service and they looked in system and said "No we dont have that in store". (They looked up by the online stock number). I then walked 200 feet over to the arcade game section and there was one!

Thanks OP. It says it's pre-installed with 350 games. Do we have a list of those games?

I am so tempted. No Sam's around me has any in stock other than what they are saving for this event. I assume they will also be available for order over the website.

Really my only concern is vertical games are going to look tiny on this screen.

Doesn't this give you the option to stream some of your PC games from Steam with the arcade setup? I remember reading about this thing awhile back but saw it was by AtGames so I lost interest.

I think most of the mixed reputation, at least mine, for AtGames comes from their poorly received Sega Genesis Flashback. It had a horrible user interface, poor game selection, and poor emulation to go along with it.

Sega eventually took AtGames off of their latest Genesis Mini and brought it in-house.

You can find it on Google. Some games are somewhat duplicate because they have them for multiple systems (Burger Time comes to mind). It has a pretty solid lineup compared to most things that come with these high number of games (No Tekken/MK/SF games though). Add in the Blast dongles (which go for about $5 at the store now) and you can expand those options even more, though it doesn't seem to save my high scores on the Dongle, which is a bummer (I mostly use it for Dig Dug and Galaga).

What I really love about this arcade is the rewind function and the ability to add games. I've added several NES, SNES, GBA, & Genesis games as well as a couple of MAME games. I'm not sure of a way to map the buttons yet for Add-On games, so I generally have no select button or LR buttons, which so far aren't necessary for the games, but would be convenient.

I saw this a few weeks ago at my local Sams Club. It looked OK but felt really cheap...especially the buttons and sticks.

And they try to hit you up for some kind of monthly fee for this unit (ArcadeNet™: For $19.99 a month you can access an ever-growing library of additional games. ArcadeNet™ subscribers also get 5 free hours* of BYOG™ (bring your own game) streaming per month as a bonus to your subscription. Sam's Club members will get 3 months for free.)
