Audible Class Action Settlement - Free Audio book/books (select titles) YMMV

+63 Deal Score

Check your email for "Audiobook selection instructions" sent from Audible. It will contain a unique link to receive one or multiple free audio books from a section of 200,000 titles.

This is their compensation for the Class Action Settlement brought against them.

The link they send you will only show 100 or so titles out of the 200,000. You can browse the rest of Audible and hunt and find the other "Redeem for free" selections. If you have a large wish list like me, go there and that will show if anything on your wish list made it to the free redeemable selection.

Feel free to fill the comments up with favorites that made it to the selection. Again, you will need to activate this through unique email link if you are eligible. These are code biased not account, so emails received on alt accounts can be added to a main account, thanks adi_vastava. An active account is not required to receive the email or to redeem.

P.S. Please do not try have multiple tabs open with "Redeem for free" and buy each for "$0.00", you will be charged for all of them past your free credit.

There might be a way to view the full catalog of 200,000, can't confirm because I already redeemed. See below, thank you dealbreaker00

To get the book to your library please click the following link of advance search after redeeming a code - https://www.audible.com/advsr

1. Make sure you are signed into your account.

2. Then select "Settlement Catalog" and Submit.

I only received one as well.

Another way to check these is to log into Amazon (desktop)

-Click on "account and list's" near the top next to the search bar.

-At bottom left under "communication and content" click on "messages from Amazon and sellers"

Within all messages look for the subject that likely reads "audiobook selection instructions".

Open that and it will be the communication from Amazon to you, hopefully that helps.

I received 3 of them, though I've been a member quite a long time, not sure if its based on how many books you have or length of time?

I already got this and looked through selections. It's pretty crappy they don't offer a link to all the titles you can redeem free, instead showing just a few and making you dig through the site on a hunt for the rest. Looks like you have a year to redeem so I'm waiting to see if more become available as I couldn't find any eligible titles I'd want that I didn't already have.

If you have a Wish List you can go in there and titles that are a part of the settlement will have a button that says "Redeem for Free"

The settlement was about unredeemed credits that were lost upon cancellation of a membership plan or upon reaching rollover limits and, for gift memberships, that credits expire following the end of the gift membership term. Maybe they kept track.

I have been a member since 2011 (off and on) with 350 books, received 2.

It is code based redemption not linked to account. I have two accounts and got one book in each, both of which I was able to redeem in my main audible account.

Good, Audible has some really scum ridden policies that are anti consumer.

I found a glitch!
I only received one free. However I was browsing each qualifying book in separate tabs that showed free. After making my choice. I immediately went to one of the other tabs and purchased another for free. I had already closed the other tabs so do not know if it would have worked again. This was two or three days ago when I first got the email.

An active account is not necessary to receive the email or to redeem.

I received two emails to different accounts that said "Notice of Final Approval of Class Action Settlement ". I never received the email(s) to redeem free credits though.

Looks like not applicable to my account, that's too bad.
