Whee

As most of you know, I was lucky enough to win a free week at the Hyatt Regency [hyatt.com] in Waikiki (in a deluxe oceanfront room Whee )

Leaving in 3 weeks, so I figure it's probably a good time to start planning some stuff out and at least outlining the stuff that shouldn't be missed, and also ask for suggestions on decent restaurants and any other tips anyone can think of. Smilie

I went ahead and bought the Entertainment Book with all of the coupons, but of course I haven't personally visited any of the places in it, so if it's possible to narrow down any great ones, that'd be wonderful.

Oh, and also highly considering the Go Oahu [smartdestinations.com] card (probably the 3 day one, which includes a bonus admission to Germaine's Luau or the Polynesian Cultural Center. Anyone been to these two places, and could say which is best?)

I think I'd definitely like to squeeze in the USS Arizona/Pearl Harbor tour (which is included with the Go Oahu card), and of course either one of the luaus or the PCC. Nowww you guys fill me in on the rest Whee

Froggy, you told me to remind you to sit down and give me detailed info and tips, so here you go Harhar

I'm excited about getting lei'd Woot

US. Virgin Islands would probably be the safest bet, but it's boring as heck. Also, I have a friend who owns a bed and breakfast on St. Thomas, so let me know if you're interested.

I went to St. Martin on my honeymoon, I think I told you that already, and that's probably the best place on earth. Also, there's a fully nude beach. Take your XTi

What opportunity? did you win the lotto? large sexual harassment lawsuit?
Haha. Nude beach would not be for me. I'd scare everyone away Embarrassment

I'll break down questions and stuff when I make a thread, but basically kind of like a gift from a family member. Smilie

I'd take just about any beach right now to be honest, compared to this weather. It was like 21 degrees the other night Frown

I'm just imagining being back on the beach and drinking some awesome cocktail with the waves crashing in. :heaven:

Then reality hits when I realize I have to turn my heat on because my hands are freezing right now Frown

actually, just looked out my window and it stopped raining. There's also a huge rainbow.

yea, I totally miss St. Martin Frown that was pretty much the best vacation I've ever been to. The best part is, booze is totally cheap there. A bottle of Johnnie Blue is $99!!!

Actually, if you go, can you get me a bottle? kthanks

laugh out loud that reminds me of when my family immigrated to America. We touched down in LA in November in our winter clothes. I was wearing this thick heavy snow jacket. It was about 85 degree that day laugh out loud

81 in Honolulu.... 35 in Las Vegas... 5 in Reno, and I had to brush more than a foot of snow off my car in the airport parking lot.

I got back to Carson City around 11:30, went and got lunch, and decided if I went home I'd just fall asleep and not make my 1pm work meeting. I meant to leave right after that meeting at 2:30pm, but instead I worked 12:30pm to 4:30pm, on what was supposed to be a day off when I scheduled it orginally, so it was almost five when I finally got home for the first time.

apartment is still warming up Cold was 50 in here when I got home, turned the heat off since I didn't realize how cold it was going to be. up to 65 now, at least woot
