Can somebody please explain this whole air fryer craze?
it makes cooking things that normally require a deep fryer easy to cook, healthier and provides 90% or better of the same taste on many things. This however is a 150 dollar air fryer with a hot plate in the bottom. meh

I would not consider this a craze as the more people that try it convert and this will become a regular necessity appliance in the future. Quicker, healthy, simple to clean-the appeals. Researched and Looked at all the air fryers and this one is one of if not the best. Just bought and it's the best appliance I've ever purchased. I have a convection toaster oven and this is LIGHT years ahead. This is really the only air-fryer that is a true grill. You can actually sear steaks and things on this . Frozen fries, fresh veggies, meats they are all wonderful. Look up what you are cooking, push the grill, air fry, etc button and enter the time and temp. It auto preheats in 3-5 minutes and then tells you to add the food. Simple. Use LESS cooking time than in the booklet as it cooks fast. All accessories fit into a central tub that's ceramic coated and lifts out so you just clean that tub and the accessory insert and you're done unless you want to clean the heat cover filter but don't need to do for a while. just buy this one and enjoy the holidays.

Very nice post! How hard is it to cook burgers/meat on the grill part I guess, then turn around and cook veggies? This is much more expensive than regular/cheap $30-$40 indoor grills, but reviews seem to indicate it's well worth it.
Any idea of what this was price wise during Black Friday? Just curious.

To given an idea of burger cooking times, I can cook 3 1/3 lb frozen sirloin burgers from Costco in 9 minutes once it preheats. This 9 minutes may be a little more well done than some might like but it works for my family. Not as good as my traeger but pretty close in my book.
Turn around depends on the types of veggies. When I did steak, I managed to grill the asparagus while I let my steak rest. Didn't clean anything off then.
As far as price, I bought the foodi grill and the 8qt deluxe from kohl's for about $130 and $180 when I stacked coupons months ago. I recently bought two more of these as gifts from Kohl's for $302 total after taxes, they were down to $140 each. So unless you wait out and have a kohl's charge card, this $150 may be the best price.

The bottom price seems to be around $150 - with or without coupons. One thing to pay attention to - the accessories added. Each store has different set added or none at all as is the case with Target. Kohl's has extra skewers only (I think). Sam's club had it on sale during their first one day sale and they had the skewers and a veggie tray if I am not mistaken.
