    I'm also curious if these are actually safe. Also, will they clean the tank itself? I live in an apartment and the tank has a ton of black stuff in it and I don't want to use bleach since it damages the components.

    Edit: After looking over the reviews I think I'll pass.

    I got a bunch last time. They seem safe as advertised. However, they aren't working very well at all other than as water color in my 3 tanks. And not really all great there either- sometimes the water is hard blue, and sometimes it's almost completely clear.

    The color seems to fade from flush to flush but my toliet seems to stay clean

    I don't think these are safe for septic systems so I'll pass as well. I was told no colors or bleaches.

    IMHO it only adds color and slight fragrance. Cleaning part is not noticeable.

    These do not work. They turn into a clump that doesn't change the color of the water.
