Due to new warning requirements imposed in California by Proposition 65, we cannot ship any items to California at this time.
This sucks.
I hate my state. And governors. And peer voters. Prop 65 is a "right to know" law anyway and this online company should be shipping these products. It makes no sense. So I hate this company too for teasing me with unavailable prices lol.
THEY CAN ship to California, all they have to do is post on their website product pages "Warning: Product may contain Chemicals - Prop65"
Everyone else has been doing this for years already! Prop65 is no big deal...and they should be posting prop65 warnings on thier pages just like everyone else already has been for years now
Prop65 is a "right to know" informational law....and it doesn't restrict them from still shipping to Cali at all. They can still ship these to Cali, but they get the risk of a lawsuit from consumers who were "not informed" that these items were under the pro65 law containing chemicals prior to buying them.

Of all the things to be unhappy with CA about regarding it's bizarre, nanny state laws, this particular one is the cherry on the absurdity sundae. There's warnings on every building and in every coffee shop to comply with this law and it changes no one's behavior. That being said, it would literally take a coder roughly 45 seconds to post this on their website.

EXACTLY this. Almost every online retail company already complies to this law ...its crazy to not only see Academy not comply with it...but to flat out simply say 'Well, we just wont ship to CA then", is flat out dumb, biggest company mistake ever. Just think of all the $millions in revenue they are missing out on by not shipping these types of items to the 2nd biggest (Next to NY) revenue driving state.
They are losing out on so much business to simply "not ship Prop65 liable products to CA".

They've definitely spent more time inserting the restrictions of shipping to a CA zip code than to just add the Prop 65 statement.
Cool deal, had been needing a duffel bag. The Adidas sport sack for $7.50 was a good filler on top of the $22 duffel for a total of $32 after tax. Thanks for sharing
