Geez, they lowered it by 6 cents. I'll never get over it. Overpaid once again!
I'm not using it so you're good. The moment I ever use it and come to depend on it, google will cancel it, everything that looks like it, and anyone who ever worked on it will be fired. laugh out loud
I purchased this Obihai OBi200 2 years ago and use it both as a fax number and a spare landline thru Google Voice. I haven't encountered any issues- no subscription, fees or charges.

Every time this comes up on SD, some bozo asks if it still works easily with GV and how long that's expected to last if so.

So I'm the bozo this time. What is the verdict?

Using it right now, works fine. I don't think anyone can give you an answer as to "how long" it's expected to last. Just got mine a few days ago, like it, works well.

Yes totally free and you get a dial tone. You will not have 911 access unless you pay for a service.

Can the Google voice number you use be used as a fax number too or do you need to pay for a service

Only thing that keeps me from buying is waiting for new model to come out, cuz this is pretty old now, and they ended support for the 100 models after I bought it last time, luckily I was in return window still. Wish it was clear if a new one was coming out or how long this would be supported.

Well they did rebrand it with the Polycom logo and changed the color of the box. That could mean that they don't plan on changing it soon because if they did why bother changing it, but then again you never know...

Bought another one...

I'm in the market for another one but is this the best I can expect these days? I bought mine a few years ago before Polycom ... for $25.

I have Ooma right now. Its fine... I have to pay about $5 a month (taxes they claim). Might pick this up and it will pay for itself in 8 months.
