heh, i was trying to get hw-q90r for 750ish. I missed out. They asked me why I wasn't accepting the 900ish counter offer. I was like ppl got this for 700ish why can't i? They responded "that was a special black friday thing". LMAO. u guys got so lucky on the hw-q90r. I wanted hw-q90r or the nakamichi. Hard to compare these two unless you have both of them in the same room for testing (which is near impossible in retail stores). I want to settle on something cheaper for now, but I can't ignore the fact that having dedicated rear speakers is going to be a huge difference compared to otherwise

Is the only difference between the 80 and the 90 the rear speakers?
I have been getting 599 as well. 640 with taxes in NC. Have asked them to do 600 with taxes but got refused. Will wait or look for other options. Thinking to go hw-q70r have 14x13 room
I believe there is only 1 vendor selling this at the moment so they won't budge on the offer at all. I am still waiting for mine to be delivered as I accepted the offer around black friday and they just shipped the thing at the beginning of this week and it is very slow to get it from accepting to shipping.
If you need the kind of virtual surround, then the 90 is better but that is very costly and you better put that off and wait for next year since it is very close to CES. Otherwise, the 80 at this price point is very good compared to the 70 and 60 since it offers Dolby Atmos.
cant believe this post was downvoted. For a price of $599 it is among the lowest i have seen (someone else shared $525 earlier) and this is pretty good. Compared to amazon selling for $998 - https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-HW...201&sr=8-2
i paid $679.99 from samsung with coupon code from a tv i bought.. got 10% cash back..
Subtotal $679.99
Taxes $30.26 (4.5%) *Samsung does not charge the full tax in my area
TOTAL $710.25
Cash back $68.00
So i paid $642.25
also on samsung EPP you could get the rear speakers for like $105 if purchase them with the sound bar.
Green toe would charge me more tax..
599.99 + 9.50% tax = $656.98
if you bought a TV recently.. i bought a 75Q80 on cyber monday check your email for a coupon code..
Subject: "Just for your new TV – an exclusive discount offer"
It basically gives you the same price you would of got if you ordered a package deal.
If you buy the sound bar with a tv on samsung.com with EPP its $679.99
on a side note the coupon code can be combined with the TV package deal bring the sound bar down to $509.99 if you buy another TV...lol

from samsung my ship date with jan 15... unless your reseller had a unit on hand i would not expect it till next year.. worked out for me my TV is not coming till jan 10
yeah but yours is a special case where you bought a TV (and a samsung tv specifically) AND used a coupon code. Good for you but that's not applicable to every one else. Not a perfect comparison to this offer IMO
