I knew something was up when the Mighty was being sold for $116ish around Black Friday and was never restocked (on Amazon) afterwards. They were clearing out inventory.
As others have stated, this one seems to have a different design from the Mighty but uses the same filter and seems to have the same filters. If this indeed is the same as the Mighty and just updated to include a model nomenclature that matches with the 300 and 400 AirMegas, then this is a great deal for a great machine.
My parents thought I was being pretentious by buying an air purifier in an otherwise clean home but once we ran it at medium for two weeks straight and they saw the thin film of dust and dog hair on the pre filter, they were believers. There's one in two bedrooms, the kitchen, and four were just taken to the family business today for the waiting room and client rooms.
I have allergies and take loratadine daily and I was good without a purifier. But now if I forget to take one in the morning, I still don't get the sneezes and stuffy nose. Definitely not a replacement for loratadine, but these truly do help our family's allergies.
anyone know how this compares to the winix 5500?

Now $119 the Older version of this the Coway AP-1512HH Mighty made front page a couple different times at a higher price point. This is the same unit just a different front. This should be FP for $119
$40 for replacement filter at home depot. Thanks op.
I think you can even get off brand ones for way cheaper as they same filters work for both this unit and the mighty unit. However not sure how good they will be if not genuine filters.
The new white version looks better IMO, but I prefer the old black model over the new black. It's annoying that they discontinued the old model for people who want matching sets.

Does anyone know what the manufacturer warranty is on this?
Walmart offers the 3 year protection plan for 34$ or 4 year for 45$. It would seem like a good idea on something that will be running 24/7. Unless manufacturer warranty is 2/3 years

I owned both Coway Mighty AP-1512HH and 200M(newer version of Might) they share same filter and almost exactly same features. I notice newer version has less noise when it runs.

I definitely love new design.
Yeah, the level 2/medium setting on the 1512 is quiet enough for me but it may not be for most. But I have read from places like The Wirecutter that the best way to run your air purifier is 24/7 and at medium settings, if possible. We have high ceilings so low isn't really an option and high can feel a bit like a hurricane.

$116 for the black model. Which is better between the two?
