I have heard good things about these. How does it compare to smartthings hub?
I currently have had smartthings for several years, but wanted to start checking out hubitat's platform now that they have an official v2 hub vs. that pieced together original hub. While I haven't connected any devices to it yet, I did check out the web portal and like how they have it set up.
I recently switched from a Vera Edge. The Hubitat for me seems like a steeper learning curve - Rule Machine isn't very intuitive for me.
Having said that, I was able to pair my Z-wave plug that opens my gate, a z-wave multi sensor, and 4 zigbee bulbs with no issues at all. My zigbee bulbs turn on at sunset and fade from 100% to 1% over 5 hours, then stay at 1% until sunrise and turn off. Also, my z-wave gate opener is MUCH more reliable now vs the Vera Edge for some reason. Z-wave range is a bit less than with the Edge though.
Overall I like the Hubitat and have been able to control everything locally and remotely.
