will it: 1. auto connect? play pandora all automatically? when entering and starting the car up?
According to one of the answers/questions on Best Buy, it says that if you select CarPlay in the settings it will automatically launch that when the vehicle is turned on. This will automatically connect to your phone. I am guessing you will have to select your app (Pandora), but it might autoplay if you've already got the app open in the background? Hard to say.
I know that if you are on Android, connecting to Bluetooth in a car will automatically play Spotify for me, so I would think Android Auto works the same.
I walked into the customer service desk and pulled up the website on my phone, she said they would price match it and if I wanted a quote I should talk to someone in Home Theater. Went to the home theater section, told them what I wanted, the home theater guy walked me over to the car section, and did the quote. He called the manager over for the price match, the manager looked at the website on my phone and confirmed the price match. I paid and I'm scheduled to have it done in a couple weeks. Already paid, price locked in. Pretty easy actually.
Thank you! It looks like my local BB has it in stock too. I should probably try that...
Anyone see any other good deals on a double din headunit?
The OEM stereo on my older Corvette is going out so thought this would be a good time to upgrade to something with Android Auto,Bluetooth, etc.
Depends on what brand you want and whether you want wireless Android auto. If you want Pioneer and wireless Android Auto, then this was the best deal that was out there. If yu want Pioneer and can tolerate wired Android/Car Play, then the Pioneer AVH-2300NEX/2400/2500 are about $250-290 on Amazon. I think they are basically the same unit with minor changes in appearance and HD radio.
I myself am debating whether I really need wireless Android Auto, and if not, whether to get the Pioneer AVH-2300NEX for about $250, or go the the Pioneer AVH-2500NEX for under $290.

I'm not particularly attached to any brand.
I'm not sure if Wireless Android Auto is worth the premium but I have wired AA in my Volt and it would be pretty convenient not to deal with a loose cord all the time.
The side benefit of plugging in, however, is that it keeps the phone charged.
What are the actual differences between the 2300/2400/2500?

I'm not sure what the differences are. I actually would like to know that myself! Best I can tell is 2300 and 2400 are same, except 2400 is newer. 2500 has a slightly smaller screen (6.8 ' vs. 7' on 2300/2400), buttons are located on left side as opposed to bottom, and HD radio is included. That's my best guess. Maybe you can find other differences?
I'd look for something else if I were you. I have a 4400nex that just took a crap, because pioneer stores the image for the stereo on a crappy sd card that is notorious for failing. If you do get one of these, take it apart and copy the image the internal sd card, because you will need it eventually when it fails.
I ordered a sd card from some janky russian guy on ebay, because finding the stock image online is rarer than hen's teeth apparently.
really not happy with pioneer for pulling this crap.

I don't want to setup an account just to see the price
