If you wait, they go down more (up to 90%). I don't have space for one to keep for a year, but yeah, they go down from here and few people (including me) jump on these until they get to around 90% off. Stores don't have room for them either, they'll get rid of them at deep markdowns to avoid sending them to land fills.

I was just at Walmart and bought a 7.5ft prelit Milford Pine tree for $90. Regular $180. I haven't gotten it home yet to set it up but I thought it was a great deal. They still had a lot of trees left at my local Walmart... But YMMV

Unlit Jackson Spruce won't let me add to cart despite showing in stock at my local store.

I bought this for $40 two weeks ago. Going to swing by later to do a refund a re-purchase.

Generally, what does the timeline look like for additional discounts on price? I found one I like (Holiday Time Unlit 7.5' Donner Fir) and there are a bunch in stock at my local stores per Brickseek. Feel pretty comfortable waiting as long as that stock doesn't drop too much.

I grabbed one of these earlier today. The two stores I visited had decent stock but saw 1-2 others grab the same tree. Looks like a nice tree for the money. I was debating on playing the waiting game myself but am not going to have the time. Can't go wrong at current price but another $20 drop would be slick.

ETA: There should be another drop by the 31st / 1st.

I spoke to a manager this morning at my usual store and the cadence he said is usually around 5 days. Corporate has them put them out for main display so they go faster. It's definitely a gamble, but worth it I think.

It looks like a lot that were available for shipping to store from warehouse aren't anymore, so stock may be limited to what is on hand at local store.

Thanks for the tip on timing! I think it's worth it too.

Good to know it looks like a decent tree. The reviews are definitely good on the website. I agree, another $20 off and I'll definitely grab one. Just going to keep an eye on Brickseek till then.

Don't even bother with checking Home Depot or Lowe's for artificial trees - they are now almost all wiped out. Those stores started Christmas clearance earlier than ever this year.

How are these compared to the HD and Lowe's ones that are on sale? Probably all made in the same factory.

The Walmart ones tend to be smaller and more cheaply made. That being said, they are priced cheaper than the same tree from HD.

Those chains focus on the bigger trees, anyway.

Yep, there you go. Its no secrets, the stores don't have room for these after crhistmas. You can expect to get as high as 90% or more towards the end..
