The more devices you connect and the more data streams you get going, the more you're going to need a beefier cpu. But again, *your* use-case is probably too light to need this.
And maybe *for you* that would be true. However, you have no clue what other peoples needs are. Similarly, it's like you telling everyone they'd never need a Chevy Silverado 2500, and basing it on the fact that a Nissan Frontier does a great job towing a couple of jetskis and basic camping gear.
Good advice always starts with identifying the needs. Bad advice always starts with telling you what you'll never need without having any clue about your workload.
I would say though that if you're in need of this much WiFi bandwidth you're likely doing something professional. If that's the case, I don't think a gaming router is really the right choice.
If you really need these speeds you be looking a pro gear like Cisco, Aruba, or Unifi. So this router doesn't really make sense unless you just want the cool antennas.

It's all depends on your wireless usage. For normal users, they don't need this.
