I don't want to derail the thread. This is a pretty good deal. I'll look in to my wireless issues lol.

I'm pretty sure it's only 2.4g but could be wrong.
It's both.

Interesting. Mine only showed my 2.4g network when I set it up.
How close are you to the wireless router/AP. 2.4Ghz travels further than 5Ghz.
Also maybe your 5Ghz is set to AC or something. Ring only accepts 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connection.

Just installed mine last night. Had some issues with the doorbell finding my WiFi but I think the way it works is it ad hocs off your phone and so your phone has to be near it during setup.

This things should be like glucose meters. Given away free in exchange for your video feed. Just like Alexa.
Meters or strips? What did they get from your glucose meters? Do they connect online?

Before I start using it I would have agree with you. But after I use it, I think the video you share is for your neighbors/community and for you. It is going to be the video outside your home so is there harm in sharing?

They don't. Have tried several times in the past week. They check the ZIP code and say the store is not within 25 miles of your zip code.

I'm not sure if there's a way to give them a zip code (one closer to the NY store) and have a different one in the order to be able to price match.
