The XDT13Z is a solid impact. It is upper mid range for Makita. It does not have any "modes", but I haven't had any issues controlling with just the trigger.
The XPH12Z is a great drill. It is super lightweight and pretty small. I love it's ergonomics. It is also upper mid tier. I've used the top of the line XPH07Z, and I almost prefer the 12's weight to power ratio.
I really like the circular saw. It beats the pants off my Rigid corded. It is incredibly lightweight, and I've never had issues with it bogging down, even in treated lumber. It is blade left, which I prefer, and it has lots of nice-to-haves, like a skyhook, battery indicator, an LED to indicate a higher torque, and good ergonomics for adjustments.
All are brushless. And all will last a long time.
