I agree with you. Of course, it's a matter of personal taste, but personally, I do think their low sugar variety is still too sweet (and I find their regular variety cloyingly sweet; it's almost a dessert). I would have preferred if their low sugar variety just had a hint of sweetness. The first time I had their 'low sugar' variety I went back and opened the cupboard to confirm I hadn't picked up the wrong item.
I didn't do much of research, so not sure if the 'low sugar' comes from artificial sweeteners. But in any case, those buying this for taste preference of low sweetness - just be aware that this item might turn out to be sweeter than you expect. That was my experience anyway.
