I had to check this out as I eat this. The serving size of the lower sugar is 10 g less, but it also has 10 g less sugar. So you are getting the same amount of oatmeal just with less sugar.
I wish they just lowered the sugar instead of using fake sugar.
Does "lower sugar" still mean they just reduce the contents of each package by 25%? Always thought that was hilarious. Give you less food but charge you the same then act like it's lower sugar.

It's very sweet... too much sugar for breakfast unless you enjoy sugar crash.

The serving size doesn't come in grams though

I agree with you. Of course, it's a matter of personal taste, but personally, I do think their low sugar variety is still too sweet (and I find their regular variety cloyingly sweet; it's almost a dessert). I would have preferred if their low sugar variety just had a hint of sweetness. The first time I had their 'low sugar' variety I went back and opened the cupboard to confirm I hadn't picked up the wrong item.

I didn't do much of research, so not sure if the 'low sugar' comes from artificial sweeteners. But in any case, those buying this for taste preference of low sweetness - just be aware that this item might turn out to be sweeter than you expect. That was my experience anyway.

Wouldn't it be nicer if they put the sugar on the side for us to add in just like instant noodle? Just throw in that paper bag of sugar that we can find at fast food places.

Lower Sugar Variety"
Does that mean each packet only contains 1/2 a cup of sugar instead of the usual cup?

A pound of rolled oats is $2.99 on Amazon. Pretty simple to do overnight oats without sugar for super cheap.
