This is not isolate so the price is not that great.
You are correct on the fact that it's NOT Isolate... but you are not correct on the price. For Concentrate, anything between $4-$5 per lb is the "normal" deal. With larger bags being closer to the $4 line and smaller bags being closer to the $5 line. This deal comes out to ~$4.72/lb at 2 x 5.5 lb bags... so it is a deal and worth buying. Recent deals have been just over the $5 line making us wonder if they are raising their prices (even the Black Friday deals were not that good this year).

MP Isolate typically comes out to $5-$6 per lb for the normal deals. Recently though, it's been just over $6 / lb.
No real world athletic need/increase in gains between isolate and concentrate if your overall protein intake is on point.

Only really matters if someone needs lactose "free" supplement bc of lactose intolerance issue and isolate is the way to go for that reason.

Thanks! My wife & myself needed a re-up and to my disliking, up until this post there were no deals on MP which is fairly unusual.

Salted Carmel was on sale too, by far our FAV!

Regular whey is great for pre/post workout, rest of the time you should be relying on clean food. Isolate makes more sense for the steroid users who down a gallon of protein per day.

Yeah, that's why I use isolate. Normal whey gives me horrible stomach issues and headaches.

Yes, I think it is very good. A nice blend of the spiced aspect, with just enough of the sweet.
