Was cheaper at Sams at the beginning of November. $999 then. It'll like drop further after the first of the year too.
It was $999 at Costco on black friday. I've been going back and forth between not buying a TV and saving my money, Buying this and not saving my money, or buying the TCL 6 Series and calling it a decent compromise. I'd say that if you know what you are getting into with this TV, then 70 dollars should not be a show stopper. You can always price match if Costco drops the price.
This TV is #1 for brightness (600 nits fullscreen; 2400 nit peak in a 10% zone) and colorspace coverage. 120Hz Motion is also good. The UI is a little buggy but you can fix it with a $45 Roku Stick. If you want it for less than $1000 you're dreaming. This is truly a flagship 65" TV; flagships never sell for < $1000, and this was $2600 at introduction 8 months ago. I bought mine for $1099 on sale at Costco 9d ago, and couldn't be happier.
I considered this vs. TCL 617 vs. TCL 625 vs. Hisense H9F. The Hisense has too many quality issues in the past and just looks like plastic junk from China. I own a TCL 43S405 BTW and the new TCL is WORSE for TV shows and sports and its dimmer; the old TCL 613/617 is just meh for $649 at Costco, they haven't been improving the TV in fact it got worse in 2019 and they just pumped it up as a gaming monitor ~ but regular TV ~ sports motion and SD (TV) content got worse. So IMHO the next upgrade from a TCL 617 is Vizio Quantum X. Buy it; you won't regret it. I bought mine to replace my $2000 Samsung A850 from 2008, which is still a great TV with 500 nits brightness. This TV has inky blacks and higher peak brightness and is 13" bigger and is 120Hz and has better side-viewing angles (samsung blacks wash out quickly from the side), so it beats my near-ultimate CCFL TV.
Does this TV also have a vertical line which is visible only when the TV is OFF. i'm seeing that vertical line in my 75"TV. can you please let me know if i need to return it or can keep it?
Debating on pulling the trigger on this with the security of buying with Costco's extended warranty or waiting to see if the x950G comes down before Super Bowl and not taking the panel lottery.
Don't buy Vizio. They don't test firmware update fully and have the habit of breaking things and not fixing them with every subsequent firmware update.
I have a P65-E1, they broke the Clear Action feature over a year ago with a firmware update and still haven't fixed it. That's more than half the time I've owned the TV.

Just returned the Vizio to Costco and got the 950G. Worth the extra money.

They canceled my washer & dryer order during that time. Reason: Not instock. But a week later, their carrier emailed me that they had the set ready to be scheduled for delivery. What should I do now? I contact Sam's and they said order was already canceled. But the carrier kept insisting they have it ready.

Get the Hisense H9F for $799. Just as good and saves you $$$$$$$

H9F is no longer plastic looking junk. They wised up and made it look like a top notch TV now. Way better then my Vizio PQ65 in every aspect.
Only problem is the H9F is hard to find at the $799 price.
I don't think it would work. I can set up the delivery date on their website, but I couldn't speak to anyone at the carrier services. I can only get on Sam's club chat and they just said, sorry it's been canceled. I don't think people can get away with it, the carrier will go back to them asking for money.
