This is old. Walmart still has the best prepaid att pre paid in my opinion. $40/month with 25GB, hotspot, unlimited 2G data after, with auto pay. OPs deal doesn't include hotspot.

Normally $10 off autopay, now limited time $20 off. This is unlimited LTE for $5 more.

Any way to get VoLTE and Wifi calling without an AT&T branded device? My wife has a Sony XZ1 Compact (also tried Moto Z3) and the 8GB/month $300/year plan and gets neither. I'm using Wing Wireless (AT&T MVNO) and I get both features on my Pixel 3a XL and LG v35; surprised an MVNO gets the features that the 1st-party prepaid doesn't.

I work for the big blue globe. I have had customers come in with the Sony phones and the system will not provision the sim with the Sony imei entered. However if you give the rep a imei from a banded AT&T Android device and somehow get the Sony device to support the volte and WiFi calling then you will get both features. Unlocked Samsung's have this issue where the unlocked device does not get VoLTE or WiFi calling. If you have the csc data and flash it to the unlocked Samsung device. The unlocked device can do volte and WiFi calling.

Also one more thing. You have to sign up before Jan 9th. Or else you will not get the autopay discount anymore. After Jan 9th the discount is only $10 off. You will keep the $20 autopay discount as long as your autopay is on.

Thanks for the reply, that would be awesome. Doesn't adding the sim to a phone auto-provision it? So even if I gave a different IMEI, wouldn't the phone just re-acquire the provisioning settings? I'm also confused if the Pixel or LG would have the two features on AT&T Prepaid; it almost does feel like the MVNO gets more features in this regard.

It depends. The pixel is one of the few that AT&T prepaid support and the LG will be supported if it's an AT&T varient.

Some is not generally carried by AT&T and not one of the FEW unlocked phones they certify.

Usually when the sim is inserted into the phone it will be auto provisioned. In the store or over customer service if you give them the IMEI even after activation it will stick until you crossed into a different market/territory. Only then is when the IMEI will change in AT&T's system. However if the phone is already provisioned with VoLTE and wifi calling enabled then the phones will keep those settings to be enabled. Xiao Mi phones are a prime examples of this. As for the pixel phones only the Pixel 3, 3a, 4 are usable for VoLTE and wifi calling as of right now. Pixel 2 or 1 are not capable unless google enabled them with dec patch. LG depends on phone models and it depends on the programming of the phone. Some LG unlocked models can have both VoLTE and wifi calling enabled but some dont. MVNO carriers that use AT&T's network as their service provider will usually have those two features enabled on their phones even if it is branded to that MVNO.

I am trying to port out a number from sprint acct X to a prepaid acct and then port back in to another sprint acct Y. Which is the best option? AT&T or T-Mobile or some MVNOs? I want to be able to port out within a few hours or a day at max after porting in to the prepaid acct.

AT&T is charging $10 activation fee now on prepaid service. WTF.

Appreciate the feedback.

Even flashing the CSC or even the full rom did not enable wifi calling or volte on my unlocked s10 bought directly from samsung usa. That is one reason I ditched AT&T for other carriers and all the other 3 Sprint, T-mobile and Verizon worked without having to do anything other than pop the sim and let the phone reboot.

Wait, you have WiFi calling with an unlocked s10 on Verizon? I have an unlocked Note 10+ bought directly from Samsung that I haven't been able to get WiFi calling to work with Verizon...
