Ok so this is a little off topic but my 7 year old nephew saved up and bought one of these HP chromebooks with his Christmas money.

It's this HP Stream one
https://www.target.com/p/hp-strea...A-78419411

He was so excited - I think he paid 250 on sale and counted out his money. The problem is he can't watch videos or anything - I mean he can but it's slow - I mean ridiculously slow - it glitches watching videos it's so slow. Anyone know a fix? They have Xfinity high speed internet and all the other computers are normal fast speed but he was so frustrated because he couldn't even watch videos on youtube without it glitching. when you go to a page it takes minutes to load and for a computer called "Stream" it's not very good at Streaming. Should he return it if that's even an option - he bought it the day after Christmas. Thanks for any help guys
That A-4 processor ain't worth a toot. I believe there is still time to return it to Target, and I would without a doubt. Wait for a SD deal; one will come along.

Not a big sale. Why on earth people need Chrome books?
Perfect for those who just wants shit to work. For those who want more...there's windows and OSX

Dont get how folks dont understand that.

Agree, much better Chromebook deals will come around soon. Hope they're not to good cuz I have way to many Chromebooks!!!!Smilie Been kinda liking the $80.00 Lenovo 100E cuz it's very similar to the old Acer C710s and C720s.

I would definitely return it. Dell makes a great chrome book so does ASUS. Best Buy has been running great deals on chrome books lately.

I love Chromebooks, I no longer have a use for Windows or Mac. For my use of a computer it is great

Not a Chromebook. It's a windows laptop and they are notoriously junk. My Ex had one that couldn't even update out of the box cause it has so little storage. I wiped it and put cloudready on it.

He should return it and get an actual Chromebook or look for a better laptop in the same price range

You could install AdGuard to get around that. But generally, yes, I would agree they're a waste of money. For $200, you can get the Walmart laptop with decent specs.
Chromebooks are lighter, run cooler, don't have loud fans and have better battery life and are more resistant to malware.
