sorry to ask a question for officedepot reward.

ex:
Assume I had $12 reward in account now, I use that to buy this deal for $16 battery, next 100% reward back will count only $4 ($16-12);

if I want to get ink recycle $2/per ink up to 10pcs~ $20, I need to make purchase more than $10 (before tax), I need to buy at least $22 battery-$12 current reward applied > $10 to be eligible

By doing so, this month I can recycle 10 ink and get $10 next reward by buying $22 battery & use out current reward balance

Let me know if I am correct. thanks

Your scenario will work.

$22 worth of 100% back in Rewards batteries paid for with $12 in Rewards and $10 in qualifying payment options will result in $10 in Bonus Rewards from the battery purchase and qualify you to recycle for the month.

If you also recycle 10 carts in the month, you will also receive $20 in Recycling Rewards.

Bought a large package of Duracell AA alkaline batteries. After sometime, found that at least 10 batteries on bottom leaking badly. They are supposed to be good until 2023 as marked on batteries. No more Duracell.

I have bought energizer, duracell, insignia, and kodak batteries. Every one of them had batteries that leaked. Sooner or later, every one of them will leak.

You shouldn't use your $12 reward in this situation. The $22 that you are "spending" will only get 100% back of the $10 spent net of reward.

That means you are basically getting $0 for your reward cert.

Better to buy the batteries straight with no rewards on that transaction for $10 and then buy some other trinket for $12 with the reward. You will be financially the same and you will get the $12 trinket and $10 of batteries instead of limited to $22 of batteries.

I hope that helps.

Where did you keep these batteries ? I starting buying these Duracell from Officedepot around 4 years back and never a single leak. Now I have over 15 batteries left from 3 years ago and just checked ... all in perfect condition.

In Northern California, the San Carlos store is 16.89 but the Mountain View store is 16.39 for either AA or AAA 16 packs.

Edit - looks like $16.89 around me according to brickseek. I hope they adjust the online price.
