Neither the "99% dechlorinate rate" nor the "reducing chlorine, heavy metals, bacteria and pesticides and inhibiting the growth of scale, algae, fungi and mold" statements have anything to do with hard water. Hard water contains high levels of minerals such as calcium and magnesium carbonates, bicarbonates, and sulfates. In addition, high sodium content can also be a problem, that that can only be removed via RO or distillations methods.
