It's a flavor profile. There's a link somewhere on Lavazza's site that gives you the profiles (flavor and bean content) and intensities of each capsule, but I can't find it right now.

Stupid question that I couldn't get answered on the Amazon listing: Does the "double shot" mean that you can get a full cup (i.e. American) of coffee with one pod. Quite happy with my Lavazza Blue machine, but wondering if I could give my wife a bigger cup of coffee this way.

I've programmed the lower button to dispense about 175% of coffee from the doubles compared to the standard size. Of course, you can adjust that to taste.

Price is up to $37.68 on Gold Selection but price is same on Top Class 2. Still both a great deal. Thanks OP!

Thanks again for the good find jenesaisquoi! I can always rely on you to find the good prices on Lavazza! Since my first machine, I have converted both my brother and father to replace their machines with an Lavazza Blue system.

Unfortunately, I see $37.68 for this the Gold but the double top class still shows as $43.50. Might still get the Gold as its a good price.

Dang just bought the single dose for $42. Would have definitely preferred the double.

Comparing it to intenso, top class is less intense, lighter with some hidden sweetness to it
