Edit, they also have a few kobalt lawn tools on clearnace , but I could only find one link online. It might be worth a trip to the store to check it out
I noticed a bunch of welding supplies with big price reductions in a Lowe's store near me too, including the helmet you mentioned (for $31.99), as well as others as low as $18.
I have the B&D cordless string trimmer and I really like it. Got it on one of the deals for around $45 with the spare battery. The spare comes in handy when I am doing both the edging and the trimming.
Anyone have experience with the "BLACK+DECKER 3.3-Amp 24-in Corded Electric Hedge Trimmer"?
Should I get this or wait for a cordless one? Don't want to deal with the cord but if this is a good deal then I will grab it.
Thanks, Basketballa
I don't have this Black and Decker trimmer, but I do have an old electric Craftsman one that I use.
I recently got a battery-powered Ryobi trimmer thinking it could switch over because I hate having to haul around the cord and there is no comparison.
If you have large shrubs (like Burning Bush, etc.). You need to have the electric trimmer. The battery one will not hold out. It cannot cut nearly as fast and bogs down on thicker branches.
Kobalt 40V or B&D 20 V cordless trimmer? Any recommendation?
I own the 50v Kobalt and personally the edge guard on it sucks imo. This one looks like the same guard - be prepared for stuff flying everywhere. Heavy as hell too.

My ego trimmer suffers none of those qualms but more $$

It is heavy! I picked it up in store and no thank you. Heavy weed whips are the worse.

If you're in the market for a welding helmet you should check what Lowe's has near you (probably needs its own thread, but I'm too lazy)
