I bit when these were on sale last time... I tried two different bags (one finished one not) and both were really... bland and gave me the worst gas ever.

From a manufacturing process stance, it seems like they grind down the chickens and turn it into a slurry. Each piece is uniform in size, texture, and taste and they come in these thin tiny squares. Really strange.

I don't eat a lot of jerky, but every other month or so I pick up a different type of Perky Jerky for trips. You cannot compare the two and while PJ does have it's bad bags (almost total throw-outs) you appear to have real protein.

How was the expiration date?... And then it's cooked? Uniforms squares like soyLenT Green? ... I hate when they put so much sugar in these things

Who would pay $38 (average) for 8 packs of these? Crazy!

I'll bite for this price, thank you.

WTH?! I've never seen such a long list of prop 65 toxins on the supposedly healthier item: "Proposition 65 Warning for California Consumers..WARNING: Consuming this product can expose you to chemicals including Arsenic (inorganic arsenic compounds), Cadmium and cadmium compounds which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and Bisphenol A (BPA) which is known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm and Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), Lead which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov/food" ... I think this brand was bought by Hormel

Just checked the expiration on one of the packages - very long aug 2020 and I've had it probably a month already. Maybe that's why it has all of those CA warnings for toxins. For a compare, PJ jerky came this week and it's only good until the beginning of March.

Cooking Jerky? Interesting though, but I doubt this brand would taste good cooked since they already have a higher water content due to the slurry manufacturing. I had no idea what soyLenT Green's were, but it seems like a cracker? Those seem huge in compared to these bites as they were about 1x1x0.25" in size.

Like I mentioned, it seems like they created a slurry of juice + ground up chicken that dried into long sheets that was chopped into small cubes.

I was surprised to find out that Many brands actually Cook the meat first before they dry it. I believe this brand does, at least to some of it's products. Might need regulations specifying that jerky should be dried raw meats... ..[You don't know the dystopian movie 'soyLenT Green', where they find out that their protein ration is actually made of processed human corpses] your description made me think of the film.
