Actually you should never flush any type of wipes.
If you flush these, they don't dissolve. They clog up your neighborhood sewer lines, which can lead to sewage backups into peoples' basements. Just visit Youtube and search for the term "flushable," where you can see videos posted by municipal governments demonstrating the mess these make in sewer lines!
I've watched several videos on flushables. I did my own test about a month ago putting one in a small bucket and it totally dissolved. I also did one using a flushable Huggies baby wipe and it did not dissolve much at all. Here is a video some guy did on Cottonelle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCW-69TT-F4

I wouldn't risk flushing any wipes, but I have to pay for my septic if it gets ruined. Some people seem to not care about public utilities until it's their own residence getting affected. Believe me, insurance companies are a nightmare with which to deal and you'll usually come out a loser.

To avoid clogging lines, don't wash grease down the drain and don't put feminine hygiene products, wipes, paper towels, tissues, etc down the drains... only toilet paper in the toilet and only water down drains!

As for baby wipes, the best deals are on Amazon... been buying there for years.

Ask any plumber / utility worker that has been around long enough, there are no safe flushable wipes. These will flush, for sure... then clog somewhere down the line.
I've heard stories of these clogging up multiple 1HP macerating grinder pumps in retirement communities.
Do yourself a favor (and your municipality / septic system) if you really need to use wipes, buy cheaper non-flushable wipes and dispose of them properly.

Here we Go with all the "You can't flush these comments " smh. They are verified flushable!!

Anything is "flushable" if your toilet is strong enough. Doesn't mean you should flush it...

There is so much disinformation on this thread.

Baby wipes, tissues, makeup wipes, paper towels and the sort should never go into the toilet. Period.

Some flushable disintegrate easily. Some don't. Many have been tested, which you can easily do a search for online. Test them yourself if you're still unsure.

Bottom line is that there is no need to cut out flushable wipes completely because of a few bad apples.

No one has stated any of these things should be placed into the toilet, nor flushed. You're preaching to the choir.
Am I not allowed to clarify? You assume everyone knows this. If this was true the sewer systems wouldn't be filled with these.

Quote from Goodgod :
Keywords here are "Some flushable disintegrate easily. Some don't." If you care about your own septic/sewer lines, as well as your neighbors', play it safe.
There's no way to "test" your municipality's lines yourself and even some thicker toilet paper can clog older lines!
The sewer line itself is not the issue. The issue is when things getting clogged in the lines. Some flushable wipes disintegrate as well as standard toilet paper, which is what the sewer systems are designed for.

Quote from Goodgod :
Bottom line is NO ONE is saying not to use / buy "flushable" wipes, we're saying use caution and be aware what you're doing may cause issues with your septic/sewer lines. There's no harm in disposing of them in the trash rather than flushing down the toilet. Better safe than sorry.
Actually, that's exactly what you said "I wouldn't risk flushing any wipes". I am saying there is no need to go that far when there are flushable wipes on the market that are just as safe to flush as standard toilet paper. Also, who's "we"? Are you saying that every other poster on this thread agrees with you and disagrees with my opinion?

This is a good link because It deals with exactly what we're talking about here: flushing items with lotion/oils on them and "flushable" wipes:
Can Toilet Paper Really Clog a Sewer Line? [sossewer.com]
---

Here they recommend to "dispose of them in a sanitary way in a special garbage can, much like you'd store a soiled baby's diaper until trash day."
They also recommend not disposing of grease in the drains and to maintenance your main drain with the 5gal bucket of water in the upstairs toilet (I do this as well)
Flushable wipes are terrible for plumbing [washingtonpost.com]
---

How to test your toilet paper, and it's NOT overnight in a bucket! Seriously, who leaves their shit and toilet paper stewing overnight before flushing?!
Read on and learn:
  • Place 4 to 5 square pieces of toilet paper into a large jar or any clear container.
  • Fill the jar about ¾ with water. Cover with a lid and shake vigorously for around 10 seconds. This is to mimic what actually happens to toilet paper after it is flushed down the toilet and makes its way through the pipes and into your septic tank.
  • Observe. If the toilet paper has broken down into tiny pieces, it is a good indication that it is a viable choice for your septic system.
