If you still have a Sears card, 10% off brings the pair down to $963 + 5-6% cashback sites.
These models are made by LG , so while they are entry level I wouldn't say they are a POS as LG washer / dryers usually pretty well rated.

I would have posted this, but any Sears deals these days seem to get down voted , and it's really only slick with the extra 10% off., although the lowest price LG model is about $700
