Got this mid last year, while it was still $399. The sub is easily capable of over-powering the sound bar itself (the two aren't matched very well at all in my opinion), but if the sub volume isn't turned up too far, the sound is quite clean. The only thing I wish this setup had are Treble / Mid / Bass controls (you get a few presets, but no custom EQ). Still, the sub puts out a huge amount of bass when called to do so -- it easily rattles all sorts of not-nailed-down things in my house, and vocals / voices in movies and TV shows are crystal clear... lol

I agree, they don't feel well matched, but I think it's still a good set. I don't know if the price is that good, bought it quite a while ago (maybe 2+ years) at bestbuy for $279

How's the mids on the set? Are they very thin? Can you adjust crossover? I bought the set but haven't picked it up yet.

Bass as others have mentioned is fantastic.... If that is what you are looking for there isn't a soundbar in any close price range that perform like this JBL.

Highs are also clean

(MIDS suck) not having any kind of fine center channel adjustment is a huge disappointment. It's a little tin can sounding.

The other main issue is the audio cutout. It has a super aggressive power save mode I guess I would call it.. Any quick silent scene from the source causes the sound bar to go into standby it then will quickly reconnect but it takes a second. Gets annoying. Last firmware update was Dec 2018 so it will not get fixed. Especially since they have newer soundbars out now.

Yeah just like the other poster said the mids are really bad. You get as much mids as you would with the TV speakers. The sub is great for what it is. But that was expected since it is a 10" sub. I'm on the fence about keeping it. I want a better mids without sacrificing the lows and highs. Dont know if I can get anything like that in this price range.
