Good deal price-wise. Be warned though that the ear cups are gigantic and the head set fit is very large and loose on your head. Tried the Nari Ultimate and ended up returning them because of this. Also, this essential has only the wireless connection. There is no 3.5 port which limits console or other device use.
DailySteal....
I doubt that the product is really a new one or refurbished one.
Ordered a NEW G933 last time from DailySteal, but what I got was refurbished one with bunch of smudges and stains. So many others also received USED ones, too.
I bought this Open Box from eBay for $30. It is an upgrade from Kraken, however, I had ManOWar Wireless before. I felt that it was a downgrade from that, but ManOWar breaks after 1 year of use because of its plastic built.
Headset is OK, it doesn't have RGB and you won't be able to configure it through Razer's own software as its not made for PC but PS4.
I'd say look at eBay prices and pickup for $30 if you can, if not try grabbing HyperX Cloud II for around $60.

mkm,
This Razer deal comes in new/retail packaging, so it is sealed.
Regarding the G933 deal you mentioned from last year, we reached out to those who ordered the product to rectify/refund anyone who had issues with the item. The G933 was new overstock inventory, so it was not in retail packaging, because of this some units did have smudges/stains due to not being properly sealed in the warehouse. Once again, we were very proactive on that deal thread to make sure anyone who had issues was swiftly taken care of.
Please let us know if you have any other questions! If your issue with the G933 was not resolved, please send me your order number via Private Message and we'll help.
PS4 will never do true headset SS. Also, this is not compatible with XBOX, but please correct me if I'm wrong because then I'd be interested
Even surround sound on PC with all the different software, Window Sonic, THX, Dolby Atmos, DTS etc...is all software "simulated". True 5.1 or 7.1 surround is only achieved through the proper setup of speakers/sound system.
However, certain surround software for headphones do a better job than others.
When I had the Naris for a few days they sounded great and the surround sound was decent. The only reason I returned is they were way to big for my head even on their smallest setting and they started giving me a headache after using them for about an hour+

Based on testing by Linus Tech Tips, some virtual SS systems are actually superior to true SS. Most notably DTS SS systems.

Interesting! I just found a good deal on a pair of Arctis 5's since returning my Naris. Haven't opened them yet but I know they use DTS-X2.0
