I'm curious why this has a negative score. This appears to be a great price for one of the best NC headsets.
My guess is because of the warranty. I have followed this item (and others) and I noticed that there is an emphasis on Sony/Bose/Etc and how they handle warranty claims from non-authorize retailers.
Because it's been on sale for less than this many times before. Technology prices should go down esp for a model that's over a year old.
It has been on sale for less, but not significantly less, at least not for a new unit. If you have no qualms about the warranty issue (and the ad makes no mention of a warranty, which means you may be SOL once the return period expires, since they are not a Sony authorized reseller), then go ahead and get it. While it's been suggested for a while that an XM4 model is forthcoming, there's been no announcement from Sony (and it's worth mentioning that CES is this week, when new product are frequently announced), although there has been an FCC filing[theverge.com].
I think these were $199, $40 less, new from Crutchfield on BF, which is an authorized seller.
That was likely an error. It started in the middle of the night and ended before morning. If you got one at that price, more power to you, but don't mention it as an expected sale price, at least not while this is still a current model. Crutchfield rarely has the lowest price on anything.

Don't know about anyone else but I have had the Sony WH1000MX2 for a little over two years. While the sound quality beat QC35s in my opinion, they crapped out a few weeks ago. Does not charge and doesn't even work when hard-wired. Totally unacceptable for a pair that retails for $300.
OTOH I have a pair of Sony Studio headphones that have been going strong for almost 25 years now.

I wouldn't consider any BF sales as relevant after BF. I can understand about the warranty status though. I just wasn't sure why what appears to be a good price got instantly downvoted.
