amazon has Rockwell portable table saw on sale

The table saw uses t-shank jig-saw blade, easy to swap the blade out.
This is hobbyist's saw for small items and simple cuts. You may need a proper table saw for woodworking that requires advanced cuts.

great addition for small space and simple jobs.

Same price at Home Depot with better availability. Cannot speak to the quality of this tool though.

What a confusing tool. OP it's not a "table saw" at all, it's product page calls it a "tabletop saw". Very large difference and it's more akin to a scroll saw. The blade isn't part of a large circle of metal instead they're thin jigsaw style blades bound to flex.

I'd saw it's like a mounted upside down jigsaw with a fence which is pretty cool if you're on a tight budget and don't need precision work.

I own one of these. I would not recommend it. it's just too loud for what it does. I wasn't impressed with any of its features and I couldn't get it to rip a decent line. And really the amount of noise it creates in the process is just absurd.

I found one of the original ones for free. It's not super useful, basically an upside down jigsaw with a fence. However, I have used it to rip some short lengths of 1/2 ply and found it did a decent job of giving a clean cut, straight line. But it was slow and loud. I wear ear protection always with it. I've also used it to rip a 1x board once or twice, it got it done.

I useD this for a floor project, really pain in the ass. Yes, it can not rip a decent straight line. This is intended for simple cut , not for home project

At least doesn't kick back like table saw.

Yes I totally agree!!! Super loud and inaccurate! When I say loud I mean LOUD, like abnoxiously loud. Not even a good sound either like when you hear a nice exhaust note from a sports car but more like hearing a hooptie with some dried up belts screaching and cracking constantly. I think I'm just going to throw it away because it takes up space too. Save yourself a headache and just get a real jigsaw and a straightedge.
