I don't really need Stardew Valley on yet another platform, do I?

*looks for credit card*
Definitely. It's very much an at-your-own-pace sandbox game where you're constantly learning (and layering) new game systems.

The fun in the game comes in your ability to Maximize your efficiency during the daylight hours available to your character.

There are a shitload of things to do in the game including:

* fishing
* gathering
* relationship building
* monster slaying

Each day cycle in-game presents that perfect "just one more day" draw to keep you interested.

I would highly recommend if this type of gameplay sounds appealing to you.
Bastion and transistor are no brainers at that price.

World of Goo is also on sale for $8.99, starting today. I've had that and Stardew Valley on my wishlist for a while. I'm finally going to buy both today!

Is this Monster Hunter a good one for someone who's never played the series before?

No. You need to have the Switch registered to buy them.

Yes. Monster Hunter is pretty much totally episodic and one game has little to do with another. It's a solid action RPG with little plot, if that's what you are into. You will kill monsters, do fetch quests, upgrade your character, and get sweet loot. If you like this type of game, it's a great one. If you don't, you'll find it's a repetitive game that requires a lot of grinding and farming to just beat the next boss.

Mario and Sonic nose dives in price at almost a 50% discount. Paid $60 at release because I wanted to support it but man...had I known it would drop like a rock. Oh well.
