My understanding after drooling over these TVs for a bit is that the only concrete difference is the processor. Although different review sites have measured their C9 as brighter than their B9 that doesn't mean it's an attribute of the TV. Same with calibration. There are theories about panel grading and calibration but I haven't seen any facts. Rtings for example had a brighter and better calibrated panel with their C9 but still recommends the B9 for value.

It is very possible that the C9 will be supported for longer with software/firmware updates because of the processor though.

To be clear this is what I've come away with after reading lots of things on the internet so take this post with a grain of salt.
I'm right there with you. I keep going back and forth, but I think I'm going to hold out for a C9 at or near this price in the next few weeks (I hope!)
I have studied these two a lot. C9 is the "better" tv. It has a better processor and you can expect firmware updates further into the future over the B9. The C9 has better shadow detail but "better" is relative here. The C9 is brighter as you mentioned. Just because something is "better" doesn't mean you'll ever notice your choice is "worse." If that makes sense. I bought the B9 to save the money. I got the calman software and calibrated it using Auto Cal. This is supported whether LG says so or not. I've been really happy with it. I don't feel I'm lacking anything. I also haven't felt it wasn't bright enough at all. For "reference viewing" at 100 nits or so I have my backlight at 23/100 or so. Looks fantastic at night.

It's up to you of course but I am really happy with the B9. I have heard/read that the B9 actually has "better" near blacks than the C9... No idea how/why.... But the C9 has more shadow detail. I think the CNET guy was talking about it.

Anyway, OLED was so worth the money. It's an amazing tv. I love watching things on it and am amazed everytime I turn it on. Dolby Vision content is especially incredible (thanks Disney plus).

Should be noted Vizio has OLED coming this year. Also, LG may still be doing the "free 1 year of Disney+ with OLED purchase."

Hope this helps!

Crossing my fingers because I've got $500 in ebay bucks and if a c9 doesn't pop up this month they expire on the 2nd.

A bunch. I buy for myself, my company and I helped my photographer wife change over from Canon camera equipment to Sony last quarter. If you do that during ebay buck bonus periods it can add up over the course of three months.

Has anybody done an A/B comparison of the B9 vs C9?

I've been shopping for a C9 too, but doing a little research, it seems like the main difference between the two models is better factory calibration on the C9 and better peak brightness. Not sure those are worth the price premium.

That's assuming I can manage to calibrate the B9 myself, which is a big assumption.
