Upon release, the game's microtransactions were extremely predatory, but that has been since removed. Currently, the game is microtransaction free according to players (or at least the ones that hinder progression).
The gold edition and definitive edition contents are the same. I believe the gold edition contained some chests for pre-order, but that was apparently removed.
Compared to Shadow of Mordor (2014), which I personally believe to be one of the best games I have played, a lot of the mechanics seems to have been improved, so if you enjoyed the previous game then this one sounds like it will be equally fun to play. My favorite thing about SoM was how much character was given to the antagonists. Most of them commanded the scene they were in, making the fight against them more fun.
The gold edition also came with a gold war chest containing 3 orcs: 2 epic and one legendary I believe.
Other than that same content

If I remember no difference with the gold edition just a rename to sell copies.

Well the description before had a clause that there's a dollar discount when you pick no rush shipping. He fixed the description. I guess the no rush shipping doesn't apply to this
Apparently a lot of people don't have game capable PCs, but fortunately my 6 year old i7 with a GTX 1060 3 GB seems to do just fine for me on everything I play in 1080p, so I pick the PC whenever possible. Someday I may have to upgrade, but so far even the latest games play fine at high settings.
