Actually I was introduced to both Cameron's and New England coffees by SD offers. I have found both brands to be excellent tasting esp. for the price. I like a non-flavored lighter roast so I will pass on this deal. There is no way the mass quantity produced mega-consumer brand coffees you mention come even close in quality to these brands when brewed correctly.

The Highlander Grog has a strong butterscotch aroma and flavor. I have it on occasion, but definitely not on a daily basis. Also tried the Blue Mountain blend and Kona blend. Kona is the lightest and most pleasant to me. For the sale price, they are worth a try.

Yep the Grog isn't an everyday coffee, at least for me. It is a great starter for a flavored Irish coffee / Keoke type adult beverage IMO.

Cameron's is my daily cup, with my favorites being Woods & Water and Toasted Southern Pecan, although Vanilla Hazelnut has been so cheap lately that I've switched to that for now. Having said that, I've tried Highlander Grog once and the fake rum taste/smell is just awful. Ended up throwing it out.

I personally love Highlander's Grog. I haven't had Cameron's version but a local coffee shop near me roasts and brews it. Reading another's description in the comments sounds like what I've had.

Something to note, if you run HG beans through your grinder, expect any other beans to smell and lightly taste like HG for a while.

We tried the vanilla hazelnut last time it was posted and it was alright. I don't mind flavored coffees and am not picky but the flavor and aroma are very strong so YMMV.

That being said, this isn't a super good deal. I paid $6 for 32oz last time. This is $4 for 12oz. Almost twice as expensive.
