I agree - I also notice when new the foam soles do not grip as well as rubber. And if you step on something wet they become very slick.

Not only the outsoles on these soft and so slick as to be borderline dangerous, they seem to run narrow. At least, I have never had to buy a "wide" shoe in my life, and these things were unreasonably tight. They were returned.

Hopefully the soles aren't like adidas. I used a bit of Lysol to clean them and it dissolved the sides of the soles a bit.
